1. About SOLASindex

SOLASindex.com ("SOLASindex", "the Index", "the Platform") is operated by Zivot LTD, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus (Registration Number: HE478555, VAT: CY60192210F).

SOLASindex is a structured product database of maritime safety equipment organized by SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) regulation. The Index compiles and structures publicly available product data from maritime equipment manufacturers into a searchable reference for industry professionals.

SOLASindex is NOT:

The Index exists to organize publicly available information. It does not certify, endorse, approve, or recommend any product, manufacturer, or equipment configuration.

2. Data Sources and Accuracy

2.1 How Data Is Sourced

Product data published on SOLASindex is compiled from publicly available sources, primarily:

SOLASindex attributes data to its original source where possible. We are not the originator of product specifications or certification data. We organize and present information that manufacturers and certification bodies have published.

2.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

ALL INFORMATION ON THIS PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

SOLASindex does not guarantee that information on this platform is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. Equipment specifications, certification status, and regulatory references may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Data reflects what was publicly available at the time of extraction and may not reflect subsequent changes by manufacturers or certification bodies.

3. Manufacturer Listing Tiers

SOLASindex operates three listing tiers for manufacturers:

3.1 Listed (Default, Free)

Every manufacturer is listed by default based on publicly available information. Listed profiles include product data, specifications, certification associations, and regulation mapping. No action from the manufacturer is required. Manufacturers appear in comparison tables with standard positioning.

3.2 Claimed (Free)

Manufacturers may claim their listing at no cost by verifying their identity. Claiming a profile allows the manufacturer to:

Premium listings provide the most complete and prominent product records in the Index. Premium features include complete spec sheets, prominent certification details, product-to-regulation clause mapping, logo display, product images, and attached datasheets. Premium listing pricing is determined on a per-manufacturer basis.

3.4 Manufacturer Rights

Manufacturers may at any time:

We will acknowledge correction requests within 48 hours and resolve them within 5 business days (correct, remove, or add a disclaimer pending verification). Removal requests will be processed within 14 business days.

4. Use of the Platform

4.1 Permitted Use

SOLASindex is intended for use by maritime industry professionals, procurement specialists, ship operators, shipyard managers, maritime consultants, and other professionals seeking reference information about SOLAS-regulated equipment.

5.1 Index Structure

The structure, organization, taxonomy, and presentation of the Index — including the regulation-to-product mapping, category hierarchy, comparison frameworks, and editorial content — are the intellectual property of Zivot LTD.

5.2 Manufacturer Data

Product specifications, certification data, images, datasheets, and other materials originating from manufacturers remain the intellectual property of the respective manufacturers. SOLASindex claims no ownership over manufacturer-originated product data. Our use of this data is for informational reference purposes consistent with established industry practice for product directories and information platforms.

5.3 Trademarks

All manufacturer names, product names, logos, and trademarks displayed on SOLASindex are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Their appearance on SOLASindex does not imply endorsement of or affiliation with SOLASindex or Zivot LTD.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Zivot LTD, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

By using SOLASindex, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zivot LTD and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform or your violation of these Terms.

8. Third-Party Links

SOLASindex may contain links to manufacturer websites and other third-party resources. These links are provided for convenience and reference. Zivot LTD does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites.

9. Modifications to the Service and Terms

Zivot LTD reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue SOLASindex (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the scope of the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
