How Data Is Sourced

SOLASindex compiles product data from publicly available sources to create a structured, searchable reference for maritime safety equipment.

Sources

Data is sourced from:

• Manufacturer websites and published product documentation
• Official certification databases (e.g., EMSA MED Portal)
• Public regulatory databases and IMO instruments
• Industry publications

Process

We extract product specifications, certification associations, and regulation mappings from these sources and organize them under the SOLAS regulatory framework. Data is attributed to its original source where possible.

Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee completeness or currency. Equipment certifications may expire or change. Specifications may vary between production runs. Always verify with the manufacturer and your classification society before procurement.

Corrections

If any data about your products is inaccurate, claim your listing (free) or email corrections@networklayer.ai. We address reported inaccuracies within 5 business days.
