H20 HRU Standard SOLAS Model
HR-0100Hydrostatic release unit for automatic deployment of SOLAS liferafts from 6 to 150+ persons. When a vessel sinks, increasing water pressure activates the unit at 1.5–4 m depth, driving a spring-loaded knife that cuts the strong rope and releases the liferaft to float free. The Red Weak Link breaks once the liferaft is buoyant, allowing survivors to board. Requires no annual service, maintenance, or spare parts; the complete unit is replaced every 24 months. Constructed from glass fiber reinforced nylon for corrosion resistance across the SOLAS operating range of -30°C to +65°C.
